They have been developed to connect Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site with Kielder Water & Forest Park and their surrounding communities.
These spectacular trails are a journey through the land of the Border Reivers – ordinary families who became ruthless raiders and robbers during 300 turbulent years of conflict on the border between England and Scotland.
This is a landscape like no other. Take to the trails and find a reiving story to thrill or chill around every corner.
The Reiver Trails are suitable for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Future phases will extend the network to include additional trails suitable for users of wheelchairs, buggies and balance bikes. Watch out for updates.
